How We Met

Once upon a time, in the dazzling summer of 2019, amidst the pristine beaches and vibrant nightlife of Mykonos, a love story began to take shape. It was a story of serendipity, friendship, and two souls who were destined to meet.

The stage was set on the picturesque Greek island of Mykonos, Cami and Calvin, two individuals who had been living separate lives on opposite sides of the world, were about to cross paths in the most unexpected of ways. It all began with a plan, a group of mutual friends, (Calvin's best college buds, and Cami's best guy friends from high school) had all organized a trip to Mykonos together. It was a much-anticipated vacation, Cami, along with some of her girlfriends from NYC, were eager to join the adventure.

However, as the departure date drew nearer, a wave of uncertainty swept over the group. The mutual friends of Cami and Cal had decided to cancel their trip (*ahem* Devon and Rob). Cami and her girlfriends were still determined to go to Greece as they had originally planned. Calvin, because he was living in Barcelona at the time, found himself in a unique situation. He was looking forward to meeting Cami, so he reached out to her anyway, wondering if it was still worth it for him to come to Mykonos, despite the change in plans.

To his surprise, Cami replied with a resounding "Yes! Of course!" She believed in the age-old adage, "the more, the merrier." Little did they know that this simple decision would set the stage for their extraordinary love story. On August 29, 2019, Calvin flew into Mykonos from Barcelona. Cami and her friends were already there, savoring the sun, sea, and enchanting island vibes. As the evening sun dipped below the horizon and the stars began to twinkle above, Cami and Calvin finally met in person. It was around 4 am (Calvin took a late flight out from Barcelona) and Cami made sure to stay up to greet him and direct him to their villa.

How I Found My Special GL Gown

After visiting countless renowned bridal boutiques in Miami with my mom, we developed a charming inside joke that I fell in love with every dress I tried on. Perhaps it's my hopeless romantic nature, but each gown felt like a piece of magic. However, it wasn't until I stepped into Galia Lahav that I was truly captivated. Surrounded by hundreds of breathtaking dresses, I was in awe of the beauty and craftsmanship that lay before me.

Every dress I tried on at Galia Lahav was a dream come true, but then I slipped into the G-104 custom gown. It was the epitome of perfection, destined for my Santorini backdrop. As I stood there, my mom, who had seen me in countless dresses, shed tears for the first time. In that heartfelt moment, I knew this was THE dress—the one that would make my special day absolutely unforgettable.
