Bride Of The Week: Dylan
Written By Kaileah Searcy
Introducing our GL Bride Of The Week, Dylan, who celebrated her wedding day in our Almaz gown. Dylan and her fiancé tied the knot with a fairytale wedding complete with fireworks.
"Live your wedding. Be present for the moment. Everyone at the event is taking pictures of you, and everyone you love is there."
A moment of your wedding day will you never forget?
A moment of my wedding day I will never forget was when we kissed under the Chuppah and our fireworks show began. Hearing the crowd gasp and cheer as we kissed under a lit up sky was breathtaking and unbelievable. A moment I will never forget and a picture perfect moment.
One thing you wish you knew as a new bride? What advice would you give to future brides?
One thing I wish I knew as a bride was the amount of stress that goes into wedding planning and how quick the whole wedding flys by. It was the best day and night of my life, and definitely invest in your photo and video team because you will be reliving that day constantly right after the wedding!
A detail that made your wedding special/unique?
A detail that made my wedding special and unique was the fact that we had our wedding at the 1 Hotel in South Beach and we were actually University of Miami graduates, so bringing our wedding back to the place we loved the most and had met at 6 years ago was magical and full circle.
How did you know your dress was 'the one'?
When I put my wedding dress on for the first time, I knew it was going to be picture perfect. This dress was tailored to the shape of my body for months and months at this point. It fit me like a glove. I felt like a princess. This was the dress I came in for, I literally showed a picture of the corset of this dress to Anthony, and he knew which dress I was talking about right away. I saw the dress and my mom and I both agreed that this dress was the one. I chose it within a week. I knew what I wanted.
THE TEAM AT GALIA LAHAV IS ELITE.
What was your favourite part of the wedding to plan/you were most looking forward to?
My favorite part of the wedding to plan was my ceremony. I made sure that my dress was long and that the veil was 12 feet so that the drone footage could be magical. The chuppah was gorgeous and full of flowers, and most of all, I surprised my guests with fireworks which made the moment a fairytale.
How did you meet your husband? How did he propose?
I met my husband at a bar in Wynwood after a fraternity event while we were in college. I was 19 and he was 20. He proposed to me four years later in Malibu playing a song that he played to me while we were in college at sunset. Moments I will never forget and will cherish for the rest of my life.
