Bride Of The Week: Fernanda Vuckovic
Written By Kaileah Christine
July 6, 2020
Our #GLBride of the week is the lovely Fernanda Vuckovic, who married her fiancé in our Gia gown. The two were married in Belgrade Serbia, where they held a unique fusion themed wedding with inspiration from Brazil, Serbia, and California. In the following interview, Fernanda shares with us memories she'll cherish forever and how our Gia became her dream dress.
"After trying it on in Los Angeles, it was love at first sight!"
How did you meet your husband? Tell us a little bit about your relationship.
We met while both on a trip to Thailand! We went to the half-moon festival together with our friends and couldn’t stop talking to each other after that day. He lived in Belgrade at the time, and I lived in Los Angeles. We were on a long-distance relationship at first before he moved to California.
How did you find your perfect dress?
I was inspired when I saw the dress on influencer Aylin Koenig. After trying it on in Los Angeles, it was love at first sight! I knew the Gia Dress was the one!
"I knew the Gia Dress was the one!"
What advice would you give to all our future brides?
Don’t sweat the small stuff! I’m a control freak and detail-oriented, so planning a wedding abroad was challenging because of the limited resources. I learned to let go of control and had to understand that certain things won’t always turn out exactly the way you want, but it doesn’t mean it’s not perfect. The memories you will have from your wedding day day, won’t be about things but all about the time spent with your loved ones!
What moment from your wedding will you never forget?
Our church ceremony and dancing the night away to the band with our friends and family were the highlight of our day. Overall, the entire day was unforgettable
"Everything was perfect!"
