Keely Amelia's Dream Wedding
We just got married in my husband’s home state of Hawaii on 2.24.24- His name is Kamu Gruger-Hill. The wedding was complete with a welcome luau for guests and the following day was our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception – all taking place at Turtle Bay Resort on the North Shore of Oahu.
"From the first time I ever went dress shopping at Destiny’s Bride in Scottsdale, AZ I knew I wanted my designer to be Galia Lahav…."
I even surprised my husband with a surprise Hula performance alongside his mother and sister honoring his culture, and then his mother and sister backed out so it was just me dancing for him – there was not a dry eye in the house!
My Husband and I first met while he was playing for the Houston Texans and I was in grad school in Nashville, Tennessee. A mutual friend reached out to me and said they had a guy they think I would be great with – and they did the same to him- he flew to Nashville to meet me in person almost right away and we have been inseparable ever since!
"I actually didn’t even try a different designer on because I just knew."
The third dress I tried on was the ‘Twinkle’ and it was love at first sight! Then, inspired by the Blake and Tyra gown to rework the top, Galia ended up making me a completely custom gown!
