A moment from your wedding day you will never forget?
I will never forget the moment when I first saw my husband’s big beautiful smile as he saw me for the first time in my Galia Lahav dress. It was magical. I was waiting in the ballroom for the right moment, and when the Flute Quintet started playing our song—the Cinema Paradiso “Love Theme” —the doors opened. My Dad, with tears in his eyes, walked me down the aisle. When I saw my husband’s big smile, it felt like living in a dream.

One thing you wish you knew as a new bride? What advice would you give to future brides?
To stay focused and not get distracted. We had a thunderstorm, and I had a bit of a meltdown. I’d dreamed of that day and had been following St. Regis Stories on IG, imagining the ceremony in the garden. In the end, it was just a short thunderstorm and the wedding went on as planned. My advice is to stay focused and enjoy it, no matter what happens. It’s your special day!

A detail that made your wedding special/unique?
Venice, Italy. My husband and I both love Italy, and we considered a few cities, but when we saw The St. Regis in Venice, we fell in love with the garden and its iconic backdrop Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute on the Grand Canal. Also, the people—having all our family and friends with us made our day extra special. And the hotel staff, led by the manager Federico, were fantastic.

How did you know your dress was ‘the one’?
It was the first dress I ever tried on and that was it! Immediately, I felt that it was “the one.” I was with my Mom, and we both felt something special about it. I’d always wanted a mermaid dress, and this one fit perfectly. I loved the long train, the lace details, and the sparkly accents. I felt like royalty in it. I also loved that the sleeves are removable; I took it off for our first dance.

How did it feel when you put on your dress the day of the wedding? What was everyone’s reaction?
It was magical. I didn’t show my dress to many people, and my husband hadn’t seen it before the ceremony. That was important to me. He said his favorite part was seeing me in the dress when the doors opened. People were in awe, and the natural lights made it look so beautiful. I feel really lucky.

Would you have done anything differently?
My husband reminds me that “…you cannot let the perfect become the enemy of the good”. I felt like I focused on a few details that didn’t go as planned. It was unneeded stress. Of course, no one noticed and now all I can remember is this wonderful day of my life.

"I feel really lucky."

What was your favorite part of the wedding to plan? What were you most looking forward to?
I enjoyed organizing the whole wedding, especially choosing the decorations, the bouquet, and the dinner menu. But most of all, I looked forward to seeing my family and friends and becoming the wife of the love of my life.

How did you meet your husband? How did he propose?
We met on October 18, a Monday afternoon in Budapest, Hungary. I had just gotten my hair done and stopped by my favorite spot for tea. He saw me through the window, entered in the Kollazs, and sat nearby. He caught my attention because the staff recognized him from the day before and made a big deal about it. We started talking and ended up chatting for three hours. He asked me to dinner the next day, which was wonderful, and we decided to keep in touch. He returned to the States, but he promised we would see each other again. He kept his promise and our second date was in Paris.

My dream was to go to Hawaii, and he surprised me with a trip there. He planned a beautiful dinner, reserving the best table at a lovely restaurant with a view of the sea and palm trees. I wore a purple lei to match my green dress, and the ring was waiting for me at the table. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. The whole restaurant applauded—it was magical.

How did you find working with the team at Galia Lahav?
I was impressed. They were very professional, super kind, and helpful. Choosing this dress was the best decision ever.

How many dresses did you try on before you found ‘the one’?
This was my first dress ever. I felt so special when I tried it on. My Mom was amazed, and we both knew it was “the one.” I tried on a few others but returned to this dress. I ordered it the next day and was thrilled with my choice.

"This was my first dress ever. I felt so special when I tried it on."
