"Falling in love with Robert was like walking into a house and suddenly knowing I was home."
Robert and I met on Hinge. We both had just created our profiles the week we matched and were each other’s first dates. I wasn’t a fan of dating apps but my friends were relentless and pestered me until I downloaded it and agreed to one date. Robert and I clicked pretty quickly and had our first date at a rooftop restaurant, Charmaines. This date was during covid so we both had masks on and he told me much later that he had to take a moment and a deep breathe when I took my mask off! I like to think it was love at first sight for him! We closed the restaurant down and we continued to talk in his car for hours. Our next date, he took me to home goods and told me I could buy whatever I wanted for his apartment since he just moved in and if you know me that is the way to my heart! I love interior design. The next date after that we went to Napa on Valentines Day and he asked me to be his girlfriend… A whole 5 days after our first date! Ever since then we have been inseparable and have integrated into each other’s lives so beautifully.
We had two beautiful wedding ceremonies- one catholic ceremony in front of just our immediate family which was so beautifully intimate and one big Cabo ceremony with all our family and friends. It was amazing to be able to wear a Galia Lavah creation not once but twice. They were truly perfect for each event and I cannot thank you Galia enough for making me feel so special in my wedding dresses.
Wedding dress shopping is an overwhelming process and I didn’t know how I would be when I started but it was a quick process. I had planned a day to go with my mom, mother in law and maid of honor but I was told about the Galia trunk show so I decided to bring some friends and check it out! I put on about 4 or 5 dresses at Kinsley James and the second I put Veronica on everyone including myself fell deeply in love with it and I bought it on the spot. With the Esme – I was looking for something super simple and pretty. I didn’t want any bells or whistles or a slit or anything. I wanted the dress to speak for itself. Through my long search I landed on the Esme and it just checked off all the boxes I was looking for so I bought it and it was everything I could have imagined.
