Introducing Colorado's preeminent destination for fashion-forward bride : Little White Dress

Located in Denver, Colorado —they’ve become a destination for brides who want a couture experience from start to finish. Here, learn all about the custom looks they’ve created and, of course, which special brides have visited Little White Dress themselves.

What does the l experience Little White Dress offer that's unique to you & your brides?

Our location, selection and service truly make for a one of a kind experience. We are located in an historic building with huge ceilings and windows, which makes for incredible light and an amazing oasis in central Denver. We have curated the best selection of designers for our brides, including Galia Lahav, and our combo of incredible designers isn’t available anywhere else. Our stylists are also just so knowledgeable and friendly, and brides just rave about their fun and amazing experience with us!

What kind of customers come to your boutique?

Our brides tend to want a wedding dress and experience that feel really special. They don’t want the same thing that they see over and over again, and they want their dress to feel like a true expression of their personality and their wedding. Beyond that, we see an amazing range of brides in terms of their ages, sizes, backgrounds, and style.

What's the most memorable appointment you've ever held?

One of our brides came in for an appointment before she was engaged, because her mother had been diagnosed with terminal cancer and she wanted to give her mother the experience of dress shopping with her before she passed. A few years later, after her mother had passed and when she was engaged and actually planning her wedding, the bride came back and chose the same dress that she had picked out with her mother. It was a beautiful tribute and such a meaningful bride and experience for us.

When it comes to picking a dress with a corset, what are some fit details that are important to consider?

The cup size is the most important when choosing a dress with a corset bodice. We help brides with the fit by determining the correct cup size and taking several measurements before placing her order so the cup of the corset fits as it should. We recommend that brides bring a bra that fits them very well when they are measured, but as many brides are sized wrong, we also have bras on hand for the perfect fit.

What tips do you have for matching a dress to a veil?

We recommend choosing one element of the dress to bring into a matching veil. For example, if the dress has a floral lace pattern and some sparkle, you can choose to either highlight the floral lace or the sparkle with a matching veil that has one of those elements. Whenever the dress comes with a matching veil, we always recommend going with that as the veil was literally made to pair perfectly with that dress!

What are some embellishment trends that your brides can't get enough of?

Our brides tend to love subtle beading that shimmers in the light (as opposed to large sparkle). We always turn the bright mirror lights down so they can see the effect the shimmer will have at their reception when the light is lower.

What are some customer-favorite features that can only be found in Galia Lahav dresses?

So many! Our brides are truly obsessed with Galia Lahav, from how well they fit and hug every curve perfectly, to the level of detail that goes into every dress. Our curvy brides are always so pleasantly surprised how amazing every Galia Lahav gown makes them look and feel, and less curvy brides love how Galia Lahav gowns give them a bit more of an hourglass shape in most cases.

What was the most important thing when choosing the location for the store?

Selection and service are most important. It’s important to choose a store that has a wide variety of styles and sample sizes instead of sticking to just one or two types of styles or sizes. You want to be sure you have plenty to try on at that store so you can discover your own style and fit fairly well into a variety of the samples. Service is also key – your stylist should be genuine in getting to know you, your style and your story. Your stylist should be along with you for the whole journey and a true advocate for you – much more than just a salesperson.

What are the best brunch places for brides to go before or after their appointments?

Snooze, Denver Central Market, and Il Posto are all so good!

What are some bars or restaurants where the LWD Bridal team can be found after work?

We love Bigsby’s Folly, Postino, Mister Oso, Barcelona Wine Bar, and Infinite Monkey Theorem!
