Tennis star Sloane Stephens' custom Galia Lahav gown and cape, radiates a majestic romance that every bride deserves to embody on their wedding day. We are so honored to start our year off with such an inspiring bride; not only a superstar on the court but also a keen advocate for sharing her love of the game with the next generation, with the goal to enhance their quality of life.
Sloane walked the aisle in a sparkling custom ballgown and a 3.5M long cathedral train to marry soccer player Jozy Altidore. The pair have known each other since middle school but it wasn’t until they met years later did the romance fly between them. Fast forward to 2019, Jozy proposed to Sloane in a gallery full of her family and friends.
Sloane wouldn’t have looked out of place among royalty! The whole creation of the dress took around 1 month – it went through 7 different hands from pattern cutting to hand embellishments to creating the matching cape and the extra long veil. The cape create a regal elegance, and helped Sloane truly feel like a bride on her big day.
The wedding took place at the St. Regis in Bal Harbour, Miami and the weekend included a tennis tournament, crawfish boil, and wine tasting. What a way to kick off 2022!
For Sloane’s second Galia Lahav look of the weekend, she stepped out in style wearing our EVE gown and looked absolutely beautiful. Sleek yet sparkly, the perfect note to end the night on! We couldn’t think of a better way to begin the ‘year of weddings’, Sloane really brought the WOW factor and has set the bar high!
