Introducing our stunning GL Bride Of The Week, Abbey!

Abbey totally blew us away as she walked down the aisle to say "YES" with Stacy. She was looking absolutely gorgeous in our Maya gown. Their wedding at Powel Crosley was like a fairy tale; Abbey and Julia were stunning.

A moment of your wedding day will you never forget?
Abbey: I couldn’t choose a single moment. I replay the whole thing whenever I think about it

Stacy: Sitting at the sweetheart table sharing a meal with my wife while being surrounded by all of the people we love

One thing you wish you knew as a new bride? What advice would you give to future brides?
Abbey:Don’t feel like you need invite everyone you know, just invite those closest to you, it helps the day feel more special and removes added pressure. And your wedding is a party, so don’t feel pressure to follow tradition either!

Stacy: Don’t sweat the small stuff.

A detail that made your wedding special/unique?
Abbey: Our dual entrances – we each had different music (Stacy – Madonna Like a Prayer / Abbey – UB40 (I Can’t Help) Falling in Love With You) we walked down the aisle to with our own bridesmaids and flower girls.

Stacy: Abbey did my makeup and her makeup for the wedding. I just love the way Abbey looks at me whenever she does my makeup and it was something I needed to have on my wedding day.

How did you know your dress was 'the one'?
Abbey: I had an idea in my mind of what I was looking for and when I came across this dress it was like I had dreamed it into reality. I knew this dress would make any bride beautiful, but after I was able to try the dress on, I just knew it was everything and more.

How did it feel when you put on your dress the day of the wedding? What was everyone's reaction to the dress?
Abbey: Putting the dress on my wedding day filled me with such happiness and excitement. Everyone absolutely loved the dress, but my favorite reactions came from my twin nieces that were the flower girls. One was like “woah” and the other literally had her jaw dropped on the floor

Would you have done anything differently?
Stacy: Don’t forget to think about what shoes you want to change into when the pretty ones start to hurt!

What was your favorite part of the wedding to plan/you were most looking forward to?
Abbey: I was most looking forward to wearing my dress!

Stacy: My favorite part to plan was putting together the seating chart. It’s such a rare opportunity to have so many people you love all in one place, and it was fun thinking about new friends to introduce with unknown shared interests.

How did you two meet?
Stacy: We met four years ago on Hinge

How did you find working with the team at Galia Lahav?
Abbey: The GL team was fabulous to work with. So professional and elegant, they really made the entire experience feel special from start to finish.

How many dresses did you try on before you found it?
Abbey: I tried on about 5 other dresses as well..All GL of course, I don’t think I could have chosen a wrong dress, but this one was certainly right for me!
