Kirsten Corley's Timeless Wedding in Our Alma Gown

Our GL Bride of the week is Kirsten Corley, who looked absolutely stunning in our Alma gown as she wed famous rapper and singer 'Chance The Rapper'. The couple tied the knot at Newport Beach, California at the Resort Pelican Hills. In the following interview, Kristen shares with us how she fell in love with our Alma gown and even canceled her first choice after coming across Galia Lahav on Instagram!

How did you meet your husband? Tell us a little bit about your relationship.
The first time I remember meeting my husband was at SXSW in 2012. We had mutual friends and it was his first south by west performing!

Where was your wedding?
In Newport Beach, California. At the Resort Pelican Hills.

How did you he propose?
He proposed to me during a July 4th barbecue with all of our friends and family there. It was really special to me because all of my best friends and immediately family were there.

How did you find your perfect dress?
Hmmm well it was a process but I did my searching in some Chicago boutiques first and then after I bought my first dress I was a little underwhelmed when I came across Galia Lahav on IG and immediately fell in love. So I made an appointment in LA and canceled my dress order in Chicago. Galia was there in LA for my appointment and handpicked the dress I wore for my wedding. It was actually the first dress I tried on.

What was the theme? Did it require special planning? Share with us.
The theme was really a classic white-out chic wedding vibe. All the flowers had to be white-so it was very elegant and pure. With gold accents. My planner Jeannie Savage (Details Details) is a boss and really made my entire vision come to life so hats off to her! She handled everything for me since I was in Chicago.

Which was your favorite part?
My favorite part was definitely the surprise musical guests. Chance surprised me with Tiff Joy, Hezekiah Walker, and Fred Hammond and they all sang songs that are very dear to my heart. The Worship was hands down my favorite part!!

How was your experience with the Galia Lahav brand?
Phenomenal! They were super accommodating and honestly made the dress process so seamless and easy.

What did you enjoy the most about planning your wedding?
I enjoyed every part of it after I hired a planner LOL

What advice would you give to all our future GL brides?
On the day of just put your phone down and bask in every moment. People say that day flies by, but I didn’t have my phone really at all and I promise it felt like the longest day ever haha! #majorkey

Was your wedding the way you dreamed it?
Oh, it surpassed every dream wedding I could have ever imagined! We are in pure wedding bliss. Everything about that day was absolutely magical and perfect!
